Rough Ridge Overlook Elopement

Kate + Brian

Their Story: “I met Brian’s sister through an old job and she tried for 8 months to set us up but I always declined. Eventually I gave in and said what the heck. We met December 23, 2018 and we have been joined at the hip ever since. By our third date, we had already said those 3 magic words. In March, we moved in with each other and by September 22, 2019 we were engaged. Brian had the most perfect proposal and it made me fall even more in love. We started hiking Beacon Heights and along the trail, he had pictures of us hung up. When we reached the top, both of our families were there to greet us. As soon as I saw the pictures of us, I knew what was happening. Brian is the most gentle, loving soul I’ve ever met and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with him.”

Similar to her proposal, Kate hiked up to the overlook (this time in her wedding dress) with both of their families waiting on an overlook that can’t be beat for her and Brian to tie the knot. These two had originally booked a big wedding at a nearby venue, but decided that an intimate ceremony was much more their style. You could not have asked for a more perfect day on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
